Afrisys recommends the use of AVG's products. AVG offers excellent products for corporate use on File servers, Mail Servers, networked workstations, standalone PCs and for the private user. Please NOTE that the Free Versions of AVG ARE NOT for commercial or NGO use. Although Afrisys used Spybot in the past, we would seriously discourage the use thereof since it caused various problems and is very difficult to uninstall. Sometimes it it necessary to monitor your bandwidth usage. The small utility, BitMeter is excellent! The MTU (maximum transfer unit) must also be set to optimise the speed of a broadband connection. Although this can be set within Windows, it is beyond most user's ability. There are also some shareware packages available, however, DrTCP is free and it works very well.
