Afrisys started supplying iBurst modems officially as of March 2005 although we were offering and marketing the service from December 2004. The reason being that Afrisys wanted to be sure of the quality of the iBurst product and service. As it stands now, the iBurst service stabilised around mid-March 2005 and overall most customers are very satisfied with the service, unlike customers from competitive services. iBurst in South Africa is rapidly expanding the coverage, although, if it was faster it would be even better. The coverage to date is very good, but some areas within the Witwatersrand (Gauteng) are still not covered. Afrisys is currently expanding its own coverage by the appointment of resellers for iBurst and all the web services along with it. This enables Afrisys to get to some of the smaller businesses that previously thought it was impossible to become "web enabled". To Afrisys every customer is important, whether in the heart of Cape Town, Sandton City or the heart of Soweto, we serve them all. |
